Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations in Singapore have almost become as synonymous with buying boxes of mooncakes as lanterns and moon-gazing are. Every year, luxury hotels around Singapore amp up their game with more opulent packaging, innovative flavours and contemporary spins on the classic baked mooncake.
Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 falls on Friday, 25 September 2026. While you’ll definitely still find classic white lotus paste and salted egg yolk flavours this year, there are some exceptional options spanning Black Thorn durian and Champagne snowskin, Dubai chocolate, lychee tea, whisky orange and even convertible mooncake boxes that turn into handbags or jewellery cases.
As a travel blogger, hotel mooncake season is always an exciting time for me. Not only are mooncakes one of my favourite local delicacies, but when luxury hotels turn their focus to mooncakes, I view it as a unique insight into Singapore’s luxury hotel scene. Hotels known for their afternoon tea sets, lavish fine dining menus and extravagant decorations during festive seasons suddenly apply that same attention to detail to a humble pastry laden with history and tradition.

Goodwood Park Hotel – Best for Durian Mooncakes
![Top Hotel Mooncakes in Singapore [year]: 10 Luxury Collections Worth Gifting 3 Goodwood Park Hotel mooncakes in Singapore with floral gift boxes and traditional baked mooncakes for Mid-Autumn Festival 2026](https://www.shinyvisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/goodwood-mooncake-1024x768.jpg)
If I had to pick one Singapore hotel that I think of when it comes to durian desserts, it has to be Goodwood Park Hotel. After all, its annual Durian Fiesta is always something to look forward to on Singapore’s food scene calendar. So, it’s no surprise that durian features heavily in its Mid- Autumn lineup.
Goodwood Park Hotel returns with its Signature Durian Snowskin mooncakes, available in three flavours this year – D24, Mao Shan Wang and Black Thorn durian. Made with premium Black Thorn durian. There’s also a duo option for the truly durian-crazed among us.
This is the selection I’d probably go for if I were buying for someone who doesn’t just like durian but actually hunts it down.
Added bonus? Goodwood has some wide reach when it comes to making their mooncakes available. In addition to picking up from The Deli at the hotel itself, you can find the 2026 mooncakes at locations like Takashimaya, VivoCity, Compass One, NEX, Jurong Point and Tampines Mall at various times throughout the season.
My pick: Mao Shan Wang or Black Thorn Durian Snowskin.
Best for: Durian lovers and visitors wanting a distinctly Singaporean mooncake experience.
Raffles Singapore – Best Iconic Singapore Luxury Gift
![Top Hotel Mooncakes in Singapore [year]: 10 Luxury Collections Worth Gifting 4 Raffles Singapore snowskin mooncakes presented in a heritage-inspired gift tin for Mid-Autumn Festival 2026](https://www.shinyvisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/raffles-mooncake-1024x683.webp)
Don’t mind me, I’ll just be over here drooling over these luxe mooncake boxes from Raffles Singapore.
Mooncake boxes, and then mooncakes that bear the Raffles Singapore name. For tourists from abroad, clients and anyone in need of a gift that screams Singapore luxe staples, Raffles is one name that’s hard to ignore. Featuring what the hotel calls a combination of traditional favourites and contemporary creations, its 2026 collection is handmade by its in-house culinary team.
To me, what makes these mooncakes so appealing extends past just taste. Raffles Singapore has always held a unique standing in Singapore’s hotel landscape and unwrapping a box of mooncakes from the property almost feels as though you’re gifting them a piece of the destination too.
Mooncakes from the hotel’s 2026 collection will be available to order online in time for the festival. Stay tuned for the hotel’s pop-up mooncake booth at Raffles Singapore, which will open during the festive period.
If I were personally shopping for an impressively prestigious gift to give to someone overseas or coming into Singapore, these would be at the top of my list.
Best for: Corporate gifting, overseas visitors and lovers of classic Singapore hotels.
The St. Regis Singapore – Best Mooncake Packaging
![Top Hotel Mooncakes in Singapore [year]: 10 Luxury Collections Worth Gifting 5 The St. Regis Singapore baked and colourful snowskin mooncakes with burgundy luxury gift cases for Mid-Autumn Festival 2026](https://www.shinyvisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/St-regis-mooncake-1024x683.jpg)
Some mooncake boxes are too nice to be thrown away. At the St. Regis Singapore, they took that concept very seriously for their 2026 lineup.
Arriving in a vintage-inspired burgundy leather bag with champagne gold hardware, an emerald suede lining and St. Regis monogram clasp, its mooncakes’ packaging features an internal compartment which can be removed, transforming it into a useful item you can keep long after Mid-Autumn festivities end.
Standouts from their 2026 lineup include baked lychee paste with melon seeds, while new snowskin creations consist of cranberry paste with balsamic strawberry truffle, lychee paste with pine nuts and pandan paste with shredded coconut. Returning classics are Mao Shan Wang durian and charcoal black sesame with salted crispy peanut truffle.
If you’re a traveller that’s stayed at a St. Regis hotel before, you’ll know exactly what to expect.
My pick: The assorted snowskin collection for variety.
Best for: Someone who cares as much about the gift presentation as the mooncakes themselves.
Fairmont Singapore – Best Halal-Certified Hotel Mooncakes
![Top Hotel Mooncakes in Singapore [year]: 10 Luxury Collections Worth Gifting 6 Fairmont Singapore baked and colourful snowskin mooncakes with elegant heritage-style gift boxes for Mid-Autumn Festival 2026](https://www.shinyvisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/Mid-Autumn-2024-Mooncakes_KV-scaled-1-1024x683.jpg)
Arguably one of the most intriguing launches this year comes from Fairmont Singapore, simply because its selection of 2026 mooncakes are halal-certified.
Instantly making the set useful for offices, bigger families or corporate gifting situations where your recipients may have varying dietary needs.
Celebrating Fairmont Singapore’s 40th anniversary, the mooncakes come housed in a Bordeaux-coloured Heritage Keepsake Box that’s adorned with gold floral detailing inspired by the hotel’s architecture.
Get where we’re going with things? The snowskin selection is where it gets really interesting.
Couple eight uniquely artisanal flavours including Dubai Chocolate, Pandan Bliss, Whisky Orange, Champagne, Yuzu Green Tea, Raspberry Rose, Elderflower Apple and Osmanthus Tangerine with that halal-certification and you’ve got yourself a killer combo.
Note that selected snowskin flavours contain alcohol, so keep an eye on the specific selection if you’re gifting these. Alternatively, you can opt for Fairmont’s alcohol-free snowskin set which features Dubai Chocolate and Osmanthus Tangerine.
My pick: Dubai Chocolate Snowskin for something very 2026.
Best for: Inclusive gifting, families and corporate orders.
The Fullerton Hotel Singapore – Best Heritage-Inspired Gift
![Top Hotel Mooncakes in Singapore [year]: 10 Luxury Collections Worth Gifting 7 The Fullerton Hotel Singapore mooncakes displayed with a pink heritage-inspired gift box and floral Mid-Autumn Festival setting](https://www.shinyvisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/image_20260515145150_2430_105.png)
Few Singaporean buildings have as storied a history with local architecture as The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, and this year’s giftware matches those themes quite nicely.
Presenting three brand-new mooncake flavours alongside traditional lower-sugar choices like White Lotus Seed Paste with Double Yolks, Fullerton’s 2026 selection features baked flavours like Black Sesame with Chestnut and Walnut, Low Sugar White Lotus with Pumpkin Seed, and Glutinous Rice Pu’er with Melon Seed.
These are probably my favourite ones because they feel modern while still keeping the mooncake recognisable. Each flavour also listed as sold out/waiting list at the official Fullerton store.
Fullerton also carries its signature single- and double-yolk white lotus choices for those who prefer to keep things classic..
My pick: Glutinous Rice Pu’er with Melon Seed if it returns to stock.
Best for: Traditionalists who still want something slightly different.
Conrad Singapore Marina Bay – Best Creative Snowskin Flavours
![Top Hotel Mooncakes in Singapore [year]: 10 Luxury Collections Worth Gifting 8 Conrad Singapore Marina Bay Golden Peony baked and snowskin mooncakes displayed in red luxury gift boxes for Mid-Autumn Festival 2026](https://www.shinyvisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/CSMB_Mooncake_Family_KV_All_Flavours-1024x576.jpg)
Golden Peony at Conrad Singapore Marina Bay has put together one of the most playful assortments I’ve seen this year.
If you’re a traditionalist, there’s Double Yolk White Lotus Paste and Da Hong Pao with Chia Seeds. But once you venture into their snowskin variety, things take a turn for the weird. Flavours under their 2026 collection include Chocolate Royal Hazelnut Crunch, Strawberry with Champagne Truffle, Matcha with Sakura Truffle and Ondeh Ondeh with Gula Melaka Truffle. They also offer a separate box of Mao Shan Wang Durian Snowskin mooncakes if that’s more your speed.
Elsewhere, another interesting concoction is Golden Peony’s Signature Sweet Potato Filo Puff. The dessert hybrid of sorts features sweet potato filling, flaky pastry and bird’s nest. It’s not necessarily mooncake, but it’s one way Singapore hotel kitchens are pushing the boundaries of Mid-Autumn fare.
My pick: Ondeh Ondeh with Gula Melaka Truffle.
Best for: Adventurous eaters and people bored with conventional lotus paste.
Pan Pacific Singapore – Best for Tea Lovers
![Top Hotel Mooncakes in Singapore [year]: 10 Luxury Collections Worth Gifting 9 Pan Pacific Singapore Hai Tien Lo mooncakes with traditional baked and durian varieties in luxury Mid-Autumn gift boxes](https://www.shinyvisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/ppsin_offer_lunar_indulgence__overview-1024x768.jpg)
Pan Pacific Singapore opts for something slightly subtler for those that prefer tea-forward flavours from Hai Tien Lo.
Star of the show is Hai Tien Lo No. 1 Tea Baked Mooncake. As a fresh take for 2026, there’s roselle with wolfberries and white lotus paste. Pan Pacific Singapore will also have Classic Single Yolk and Classic Double Yolk White Lotus Paste varieties.
If you’re craving something richer, there’s also a Mao Shan Wang Durian Snowskin.
For those looking to gift sets, Pan Pacific Singapore’s Premium Four Treasures package is even better value. The two-tier set comes with four baked mooncakes, a teapot, two teacups and Hai Tien Lo No. 1 tea leaves.
Feels more like curating a Mid-Autumn tea experience rather than giving someone a box of pastries.
My pick: Hai Tien Lo No. 1 Tea Baked Mooncake.
Best for: Tea drinkers, parents and elegant corporate gifting.
PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay – Best Modern Baked Mooncake
![Top Hotel Mooncakes in Singapore [year]: 10 Luxury Collections Worth Gifting 10 PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay 2026 mooncakes with traditional baked and charcoal varieties in orange luxury gift boxes](https://www.shinyvisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/PRSMB_Mooncake_2026_Masthead_Image-2-1024x576.jpg)
Over at Peach Blossoms at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay , the approach leans towards the contemporary.
Their highlight new 2026 creation is Charcoal Lychee with Longan, Wolfberries and Okinawan Brown Sugar Mochi ($138), made with lychee tea-infused paste and dried longan with chewy centre of brown sugar mochi.
Also available is Charcoal Peach Long Jing with Okinawan Brown Sugar Mochi, in addition to the more familiar Low Sugar Double Yolk White Lotus ($128).
Personally, I’m happy Peach Blossoms offers a smaller two-mooncake variety under Timeless Duo. Boxes keep getting more extravagant—and bigger—these days so it’s thoughtful of them to offer a more compact option for couples, friends and travellers who want to gift nicely without having to buy four or eight cakes.
My pick: Charcoal Lychee with Longan, Wolfberries and Okinawan Brown Sugar Mochi.
Best for: Younger recipients and anyone looking for a modern interpretation of the baked mooncake.
Capella Singapore – Best New Luxury Mooncake Collection
![Top Hotel Mooncakes in Singapore [year]: 10 Luxury Collections Worth Gifting 11 Capella Singapore 2026 mooncake presented beside a white and gold luxury gift tin with tea set](https://www.shinyvisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/Capella_Singapore-_Mooncake_2026_2_1-1024x683.jpg)
One mooncake brand new to Singapore this 2026 is Capella Singapore, which will be launching its debut mooncake collection.
Developed around the theme of reunion, the offering nods to the Pan Chang Knot — a symbol of longevity and eternal reunion — as well as Sentosa’s tropical past.
Available as either baked or snowskin sets of six, the luxury mooncakes were made in-house by Capella’s Cantonese fine-dining restaurant Cassia’s culinary team.
Each mooncake in the baked collection retails at S$138 nett, while the snowskin version is S$158 nett. They will be available for collection from 18 August at Cassia or islandwide delivery for a slight fee.
Best for: Luxury gifting, Capella fans and people looking for something new in 2026.
Hua Ting at Orchard Hotel Singapore – Best for Cantonese Craftsmanship
![Top Hotel Mooncakes in Singapore [year]: 10 Luxury Collections Worth Gifting 12 Hua Ting at Orchard Hotel Singapore traditional baked mooncakes displayed in elegant red Mid-Autumn Festival gift boxes](https://www.shinyvisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/Traditional-Mooncakes-Treasures-Set-2-1024x550.jpg)
If your hotel mooncake list needs something centred around Chinese cuisine, consider Hua Ting at Orchard Hotel Singapore.
From Master Chef Chung Lap Fai, the bakery collection comprises traditional baked flavours like their low sugar White Lotus Paste with Macadamia Nuts, Single Yolk and Double Yolk versions, plus Assorted Nuts.
Especially inviting-sounding is their new Dancong Tea Almond baked mooncake.
More adventurous is Hua Ting’s snowskin selection, with flavours like Yuzu Paste with Pineapple Coconut, Cranberry Paste with Balsamic Strawberry and Rose Lotus Paste with Orange Whiskey for 2026. There’s also premium Black Thorn Durian.
If you’re staying around the Orchard Road vicinity too, picking these up will also be convenient: head down to Orchard Hotel Singapore’s dedicated mooncake counter when Mid-Autumn rolls around.
My pick: Dancong Tea Almond.
Best for: Fans of Cantonese restaurants and traditional baked mooncakes with subtle modern twists.
Which Singapore Hotel Mooncake Should You Buy in 2026?
There’s honestly no such thing as a “best hotel mooncake in Singapore” anymore because the offerings have gotten so varied.
For durian: I’d have to say Goodwood Park Hotel.
For the most unmistakably luxe Singapore gift: It’s tough to top Raffles Singapore or The Fullerton Hotel.
For aesthetically pleasing packaging: The St. Regis Singapore ticks many boxes for me this year.
For halal-certified baked mooncakes: Fairmont Singapore really nails it.
For creative snowskin flavours: Conrad Singapore Marina Bay has one of the widest ranges I’ve seen.
And for something truly novel: Try Capella Singapore’s debut collection.
When Should You Order Mooncakes in Singapore?
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt about shopping for festive goodies in Singapore, it’s that leaving it till the week before doesn’t usually buy you more convenience.
For example, Mid-Autumn Festival falls on 25 September 2026. However, most hotel mooncakes start going on sale by August.
Certain hotels offer discounts for buying early – usually between 20–35%. Popular flavours also tend to sell out weeks or even months before the festival date itself. Hotels like Fairmont, Conrad, Raffles, Goodwood Park are just some that I’ve seen running advance-purchase deals/promotions or set mooncake collection timelines between August and September.
Personal notes if you’re planning to buy mooncakes as gifts: I would try to get them ordered by mid- to late August instead of waiting till September.
Snowskin mooncakes also need more pre-planning than baked mooncakes, because they have to be refrigerated. For instance, Hua Ting advises that their snowskin mooncakes should be refrigerated continuously after collection and finish within three days for optimal mooncake experience.
Another pro tip: If you’re travelling with mooncakes on-board a flight with you, baked mooncakes are much easier to transport than snowskin.
Final Thoughts
Mooncake shopping has become a little different in Singapore over the years. It’s evolved from choosing whether you wanted lotus paste with one or two yolks, to a whole seasonal luxury-gifting extravaganza.
And don’t get me wrong, I don’t think that’s a negative thing. Travelling through food is often one of the easiest ways to learn about your destination, and Singapore’s hotel mooncakes show a really interesting side to the city. They reveal a melting pot of deeply-rooted Chinese traditions, rubbing shoulders with luxury hospitality, Southeast Asian ingredients, and of course, a willingness to push the boundaries.
This year you can still pick up the traditional double-yolk white lotus mooncake your grandparents know and love. But right next to it could be Dubai chocolate snowskin, Black Thorn durian, pandan coconut, lychee tea or Champagne truffle.
It’s that blend of tradition and adaptation that feels so Singaporean to me.
If I were giving away multiple boxes this year, I wouldn’t automatically choose the same assortment for everyone. I’d go with Goodwood Park Hotel if I was catering to a durian fanatic, Fairmont Singapore if I wanted one box to cover all bases for my family, St. Regis Singapore if I needed my gift to lookInstagram-worthy, and Raffles Singapore when I wanted the gift itself to taste Singaporean.
No matter which ones you choose, try to order ahead of time. The most creative hotel mooncakes (and sometimes the cutest boxes too!) tend to sell out before the lunar calendar hits that full moon mark.
