We also walked through the covered corridors nearby and spent some time admiring the architecture up close. Tall arches, the brick columns supporting the ceilings, and glass panels were all dusted with snow, and unexpectedly, it was quite a beautiful contrast to the open plaza area outside.

Second, it is a great walk from nearby Snowman Carnival (雪人嘉年华) that made it easy to include in our itinerary as part of a day outside. It was fun to walk between the two after visiting one.
The rest of the buildings in the neighborhood are also fun to admire if you are into exploring winter cityscapes. We passed by other small snow installations, parents and children playing in the snow, and vendors with hot drinks and snacks.
My child enjoyed the walk itself as much as visiting the snowman and saw it as a natural extension of the snowman visit rather than a separate thing.

We only spent an hour or two there and still came away impressed, and if you are making the trip to Harbin for its snow, you should at least see the Music Corridor Giant Snowman to check it off the list. It is perfect for families, couples, and solo travelers since it has a universal appeal as a simple, joyful winter scene.
