Valentine’s Day Dinner At Opus Bar And Grill

14 February is Valentine’s Day. A special day for all the couples in the world. I started celebrating Valentine’s day just four years ago. 🙂 I am thankful that Nicole came into my life and all the adventures we had together during these years. It’s Nicole who made my life colorful.

This year, we decided to try some steak as both of us started to appreciate steak after visiting Wang’s Steak in Kaohsiung. After some googling, we settled for the promotional Valentine’s Day Set Menu by Opus Bar and Grill. For those who don’t know, Opus Bar and Grill is a restaurant in Hilton Singapore.

As all the tables are fully booked, we opted for the second seating. The assistant restaurant manager (Ms. Edzalikha Shaipudin) is kind enough to assist us with our booking and even offer us a 15% OFF. Thank you Edzalikha for the positive experience.

We reached around 8:30 PM and our table is already ready and well-prepared for us. The waiter who served us is polite and professional. Good job Hilton!

Just shortly after we placed the order with the waiter, we were served with some bread and butter. The bread tasted good, and it goes well with the butter.

We got our glass of Louis Roederer Champagne. Well, I don’t drink, so any champagne tasted the same to me.

Here comes the starter – Bisque Emulsion, charcoal grilled octopus.

I love this appetizer. The scallop is very fresh, and it comes with this yellowish sauce which tastes great. Even Nicole who doesn’t enjoy seafood says it’s good.

Here comes the main course that we are waiting patiently for. The sirloin steak (medium well) arrived perfectly seared and deliciously charred. It’s pink and tender on the inside, and one bite of it render a burst of meat juice in your mouth. A dip with the foie grass sauce takes the taste to the next level.

Shortly after our main course, we were served our dessert. The combination of wild berries and chocolate complements each other and give this dessert a pleasant taste.

This Valentine’s Set Dinner also comes with a free pink rose for the lady. Here’s our photo as taken by the restaurant staff.
