For those who been to Beijing on a tour package, you will definitely visit this restaurant called Quanjude (全聚德) in your itinerary. Quanjude is a very popular restaurant chain in Bejing which is very well known for its Peking Roast Duck. It has a long history since its first establishment in 1864 during the reign of Tongzhi Emperor.

Serving 2M Peking roast ducks  in 400+ different styles to over 5M customers yearly

Quanjude is also known for its meticulous effort in preparing the roast duck. The duck is roasted using an open oven and they use non-smoky hardwood fuel such as Chinese pear, date, and peach to add flavors to the crispy skin. Personally, I tried Quanjude restaurant several times during my multiple visits to Beijing and Chongqing. It’s definitely one of best Peking roast duck restaurants around and I would give a thumb up for their food quality and service.

For Peking duck lovers in Singapore, good news to you! Quanjude is planning for the opening of their first restaurant in 313 @ Somerset, Singapore. We can’t wait to review it! Stay tuned here for updates.
