How to Waive AMEX Credit Card Annual Fee

For AMEX customers, you can request credit card annual fee waiver via the AMEX app.

Mobile App
– Tap on the “Chat” icon at the top right hand corner of the app.
– Tap “Chat with Us”
– Wait for a customer service agent to join, and let the agent know you would like to request for a credit card fee waiver request.

How to Waive Citibank Credit Card Annual Fee

For Citibank customers, unlike DBS which has an automated chatbox, you need to use Phone banking to log your request for credit card waiver. You don’t have to wait in queue to speak to a customer service officer as there is an automated option in Phone banking for credit card waiver.

For UOB customers, unfortunately you will have to speak to a customer service officer on your credit card fee waiver request. This means you will be to wait in queue if the call center requests are overwhelming.

Unfortunately no. There can be situations where banks/credit card companies may reject your request for credit card fee waiver. Process wise, I think the banks or credit card companies will definitely check your credit card usage before granting a waiver. E.g. How much are you spending via their credit cards, how is your credit score (how punctual are you in paying for your credit card bills), what’s your customer value to them.
